And the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen Goes to...

LI NA!

She beat defending champion Francesca Schiavone 6 - 4, 7 - 6(0). She played almost flawless for the first set and a half. In the middle of the first set Fran showed her usual spirit--which she didn't show during the first set, it was all too late. During the tiebreaker once again Li played flawlessly, she didn't give Fran a chance to win a single point!

Congrats Li! Her win affects people in China--and more than that, people in Asia! Yeah, she's the first ever Asian to win a Grand Slam Women's Singles title. I screamed aloud after Fran hit an error on championship point, I just couldn't believe that Li won. Nobody had picked her to win, but maybe that's why she could play well, just like Fran did last year.

Once again, congrats Li! As an Asian her win affects me, of course, and I hope with her victory tennis will be more popular in Asia :)
